Maddux Elementary is located in the northeastern section of the city, at Ingram and East Barton Avenue. We are located directly across the Interstate (I 40 & 55) from Southland Greyhound Park. Maddux is a neighborhood school that provides classes for students from kindergarten through sixth grade. Our current population is 512 students. Because Maddux is a neighborhood school, there is no bus transportation. Living near Memphis provides a rich source list for teachers. Field Trips are taken to the zoo, airport, Pink Palace, Shrine Circus, and the Civil Rights Museum to name a few. The entire staff is highly qualified in their area. The staff continues to improve their skills through various professional development opportunities. It is the desire of the Maddux Staff to continue to forge ahead with new ideas and programs that emphasize the whole child.
